Africa on the Square is an annual event organised by the Mayor of London for Black History Month 2016 and has been running for three years. This year it returns again to Trafalgar Square for a continuous line-up of entertainment for the family.
This popular event at Trafalgar Square in London, gives an insight into the African culture and also showcases cultures from across the continent of Africa. On the day you can expect to enjoy an array of live music, talent shows, beautifully hand crafted African attire, fashion shows, food stalls and many more.
Our reporters Jihan Nur and Rhea Whitehead took to the Square to find out more about the event and to give an in depth understanding as to why this event is so important to the African community.
