A new pop-up shop recently opened is dedicated to funding clothes to refugees across the globe – brought by what you choose in store, Delina Petiros and Moona Popal reports

Choose Love is a charity organisation founded in 2015, a simply but powerful message raising money to help refugees all over the world. The charity is recognised by their iconic t-shirts and jumpers designed by Katharine Hamnett, however the charity has just opened its first pop up shop in soho, London.

The pop up shop opened in Soho on 24th November 2017 and offers plenty to  buy however nothing for yourself. The items on sale include blankets, life jackets, shoes, socks and many more. These life changing products that you buy in store all gets sent straight to the front lines of the refugee crisis across Europe and the Middle East, along with all the proceeds from the Choose Love logo products.

We spoke to a couple of staff members in the store to see why they think the charity and store is so important, Alice Sloman said, “I think having the store is really effective because it shows the reality of the situation, we’ve got a life jacket here that was worn by a refugee and it lets people see where their money is going and what it’s being spent on.”

The CEO of help refugees Josie Naughton said, “It’s easy to forget how lucky we are to have a bed, a blanket and a roof over our heads. For thousands of refugees this Winter, these basic human needs are completely out of reach. This shop is all about one simple idea: that we should all Choose Love this Christmas and help those in need”.

The pop up shop is open everyday at 18 Broadwick St, Soho, London W1F 8HS or you can shop online
