The drought that hit KFC

One of Britain’s leading fast food places, KFC is running short on what its most popular for, chicken. It had been reported that, the companies chicken was causing ‘teething problems’, Moona Popal reports  

One of Britain’s leading fast food places, KFC is running short on what its most popular for, chicken. It had been reported that, the companies chicken was causing ‘teething problems’, Moona Popal reports

 The shortage of chicken meant the closure of many KFC restaurants, which left some customers angry and venting their anger in twitter, whilst others saw the humour and called it “the great 2018 chicken drought.”
KFCTwitter to publicly apologise about the shortage, which left only 20 of its chains in London open, and the rest closed, “We’ve brought a new delivery partner onboard, but they’ve had a couple of teething problems – getting fresh chicken out to 900 restaurants across the country is pretty complex! We won’t compromise on quality, so no deliveries has meant some of our restaurants are closed, and others are operating a limited menu or shortened hours.”
Until last Tuesday the company’s chicken was delivered to its UK stores by South African-owned distribution group Bidvest. However, this has given other fast food chains the opportunity to prove themselves and earn more customers. In particular fast food chains like ‘The temple of Camden
This is no ordinary fast food place, that serves chicken –  it’s a vegan fast food place. The ‘chicken’ is made from seitan, a wheat protein that can be made to look, taste and feel like real meat.
