The Met Office has issued yellow weather warnings for wind in the UK, there will be expected winds of upto 80mph

The third named storm of this season, storm Ciara is set to barge into the UK this weekend.

Wind gusts of up to 80mph (128kph) will batter parts of the UK as the extreme North Atlantic system ploughs into the British Isles.

The Met Office is warning a risk of injury or death due to large waves and beach material being thrown onto sea fronts, roads and properties.

Into next week, the stormy conditions will depart for many, and the warmer temperatures delivered by the storm will clear too.
