since its inception the limit had increased almost 10 fold. the number of contactless payments in the UK have risen to 27 percent of all payments from 7 percent just four years ago.

The chief executive of UK fininance has said that contactless payments have proven very popular with consumers and an every increasing amount of transactions are being made with contactless technology.
