September 2021 Premier League Awards Released
The player, manager and goal of the month awards were given out earlier today.
POTM was awarded to Cristiano Ronaldo, Manchester United’s number 7 striker, who has evidently made a big impact since his shock signing at the end of August. His 3 goals in 3 games were highlighted as well as having elevated the squad. Some controversy has arose surrounding this with fans saying Mo Salah deserved the award after reaching the 100 goal milestone. Gary Lineker retweeted a post of Ronaldo winning player of the month with the caption: “He’s been terrific, but @MoSalah should’ve won this….. comfortably.” .

Arsenal’s Mikel Arteta got Manager of the month after leading Arsenal to 3 back to back wins following a streak of 3 losses in August. Whether Arsenal will continue this form is to be seen in October and November’s fixtures.
Finally the goal of the month was given to Andros Townsend, Everton’s right winger after a screamer from outside of the box against Burnley at home flew into the top corner to make Everton 2-1 before Demarai Gray made it a 3-1 comeback.
